V. BOZEMAN
Veronika ‘V’ Bozeman made a stunning debut in the spring of 2011, not as solo artist, but as the powerful female vocalist who traded verses with Interscope recording artist Timothy Bloom in his soulful breakout ballad, “Til the End of Time,” from his 2011 EP, The Budding Rose. V co-wrote the hugely popular duet, which captured the attention of the blogosphere when she and Bloom boldly showcased their striking beauty and flawless physiques by appearing nude together in the sensual music video for the song, which became an Internet sensation. That’s when everyone started asking, “Who’s that girl, V?”
Born and raised in South Central, Los Angeles, V left her home in 2006 and relocated to Atlanta, where she joined a succession of short-lived R&B girl groups, including one in which she sang lead that caught the attention of renowned singer-songwriter-producer Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds. In 2008, Edmonds signed the group to his SodaPop Entertainment label and promptly sent them to Los Angeles to start working in the studio; a year later, the group disbanded without releasing an album and V found herself back at square one.
Rather than brood over this setback, V developed a working relationship with top Atlanta producer Polow Da Don, who enlisted her to do vocal production for some of the hottest names in music, including Rihanna, Keri Hilson, Monica, Lloyd, Dirty Money, El DeBarge, and Patti LaBelle, among many others. After paying her dues behind the scenes, V became poised to enter the spotlight when she reconnected with her musical soul mate, Timothy Bloom, an old friend from Atlanta who had recently inked a deal with Interscope. Since the success of "Til the End of Time," V has been selected by Lexus to be a face for their exclusive web mini-series, "Fresh Perspectives," and participated in the PSA “Super Life: Fear Kills, Love Heals” launched by Chaka Khan in an effort to bring awareness to injustice. She is also the face for Heineken's "DeJa Vu" International commercial. At the top of 2012 V signed to Cutcraft /Imagem Publishing and just this summer to Cee Lo Green’s Eight Entertainment and has recently joined him in several performances including the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, the Sonar Sau Paulo Festival in Brazil and CeeLo Green's Las Vegas residency Loberace at Planet Hollywood.
Continuing on a path of success, V is eager to introduce the world to a new sound all her own, which she describes as Universal Soul Music! “Everybody has a soul,” says V. “I just want to touch them.”
